As a seasoned therapist with over 30 years of experience, I am trained to help teens, adult individuals, and couples overcome a variety of struggles. Whether you’re looking for support for overcoming addictions, anxiety, shame and guilt, relationship issues, or other concerns, I would be honored to help. Maybe you just need encouragement that you’re on the right track with your family life or career. As a Christian counselor, I believe God is the One who enables growth and the ability to move toward hope. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you and witness His work in your life.

Online Counseling – Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri & Sat
I offer a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can lay down your burdens and feel lighter, with God’s help. My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate environment where you can be honest about your struggles and find relief from your concerns. After three decades working in various mental health roles, I have served clients from all backgrounds – from the “worried well” to those imprisoned by tragic choices. No matter your situation, in my office you will be heard and not judged. Whatever the circumstance, I have seen God do amazing things in my clients’ lives and believe He can do the same for you.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as your therapist is to give you hope and the courage to challenge belief systems that have prohibited you from healing. I hold a deep belief that shame and guilt prohibit healing. We will work together to allow God to put salve on wounds and to lay guilt at the foot of the cross.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
In our time together, I will welcome you into a zero-judgment environment. As a Christian counselor, I offer hope for the hopeless. Whether you’re struggling with bitterness, anger, shame, or guilt, Christian counseling can help. It’s possible to get rid of harmful beliefs and find healing by growing in our understanding of God’s grace and His desire for us to rely on Him. I also love to laugh and enjoy being able to be light and funny when appropriate in sessions.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I’m a seasoned therapist who has worked with a broad spectrum of clients. No matter the background or demographic, my approach for each of my clients is kindness. I also acknowledge that courage is essential to the therapeutic process, and the Lord can supply that courage for our good and our growth. I will pray with kindness and always bring things back to how much God loves us. Having a personal relationship with Jesus is crucial. He is gentle and desires to bring healing and lasting transformation in our lives.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) in the field of psychology and counseling from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I have a vast history serving those who struggle with psychiatric illnesses, with extensive training and experience in inpatient and outpatient treatment settings, both as a clinician and in directorial positions.
As an internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, I served both clients and their loved ones. I am a trained Interventionist and performed drug and alcohol evaluations for the U.S. Department of Transportation.
I have experience in many strategies of the theorists, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Gottman Therapy, as well as helping clients overcome effects of trauma, anxiety and depression, struggles with ADHD, and varied life stressors.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I have a passion for helping people who are hurting and whose lives are void of peace and joy. It has been my privilege to walk alongside clients for more than thirty years using proven therapeutic methods and to offer the hope and healing that can be found in Jesus Christ.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, who range in age from 15 to 24. I moved to Texas from Massachusetts fourteen years ago, along with my daughter and her family. I look forward to spending time with not only my family but also with great friends, going to nice restaurants, movies, and whatever events my active Life Group has planned.

Trauma
I have a bias for helping clients find healing rather than revisiting the trauma repeatedly with poor results, including revictimization. I will work with you to heal from the bitter root of hate, unforgiveness, and self-recrimination so you can experience the freedom of joy and contentment. With God it is more than possible!
OCD
OCD is often misunderstood, with clients often feeling ashamed by their intrusive thoughts. Some individuals may feel scared or shamed if paraprofessionals have used words such as “dissociation” and “paranoia.” By helping clients understand that OCD is an anxiety disorder and by exploring potential contributing factors together, I work to decrease the fear of this mental health condition.
Addictions | Chemical Dependency | Pornography
This specialty includes any compulsion toward addictive behaviors, ranging from drugs and alcohol to gambling, gaming, pornography, or overspending/overshopping. I can provide an assessment and make recommendations for viable treatment options to successfully address the difficulty, including Inpatient/Outpatient options, 12-step supports, long-term, AOC, and Intervention Protocols.
ADHD
I will provide explanations and understanding about the disorder in order to benefit those who are coming alongside the individual struggling with ADHD. When appropriate, I will seek to address any underlying anxiety in the client without being quick to recommend psychostimulants.
Anxiety and Depression
I believe anxiety and depression are the two primary reasons that clients are currently seeking mental health treatment. I’ve found that often, having a safe place to share the circumstances of these, at times, debilitating conditions can offset the level of intensity. Not all situations require the use of medications. This, of course is a case-by-case determination, and often being able to coordinate with the primary care physician is helpful.
